Jack Reacher

Thank you once more to Cineworld for another advanced screening for unlimited card holders.

This has not been heavilly trailered, so I didn't really know what to expect from this film, but it was surprisingly good. Cruise plays this sort of role very well, and a late cameo appearance from Robert Duval is always a treat.

One thing that did annoy me, in the opening credits, the title is displayed in the same font and scale as the actors, so if you came into this movies without knowing its title, you could just miss the title in the mix and assume that "Jack Reacher" is the name of an actor.

The fight sequences (and there are lots of them!) are very well choreographed, and although this is essentially an action movie, it is punctuated throughout with lots of comedy moments (both verbal and visual) that are funnier than a lot of the jokes in recent comedy movies.

I found this movie to be very entertianing, I can't see it winning any awards this season, and I don't think it is trying to, but a very pleasant evenings viewing 8/10
