The Master

With Skyfall and Twilight having taken over my Local Cineworld, I was fortunate enough to get a free ticket to the Odeon courtesy of O2. so big thanks to them.

About the only thing showing at the Odeon that I had not seen was the Master, having read a couple of reviews raving about how good it is, particularly the one in the Guardian, and even my favorite film critic Mr Mark Kermode seemed to like it, So I thought this might be a really good watch, I was wrong.

Unless I see something truly awful in the next 6 weeks, this is likely to make my Bottom 5 worst films of the year, I was bored extremely quickly which meant I spent half the movie getting annoyed about dodgy Camera work, scenes out of focus which didn't seem to be deliverate, and close ups so close that you can't really see what was going on, or camera angles whereby filming over someones shoulder when they are in frame so obscure the camera shot. i'm sure some of this may be deliberate, but it was just annoying.

I also was not expecting full frontal nudity (including a couple of old women) and the use of the C word, are these now acceptable for 15 year olds? in my opinion this film should be an 18.

I kinda get what the film maker was trying to say about Cults, but it really dosen't work, this will only be saved from my worst film of the year award by Keith Lemon 2/10
